Why I Started Surviving to Thriving
Hello, you! Meet Eileen, An Empowerment Mentor, a Survivor and Thriving Coach, a Transformational Speaker and Professional Support Warrior
My vision: Empowering women like you to Thrive Beyond your Health Challenges
My journey has been shaped by resilience, determination, and an unwavering belief in the power of inner strength. As a mother, a qualified Radiographer, and a survivor of multiple health challenges, I know firsthand how overwhelming life can feel when you are battling against both seen and unseen adversities.
“You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice.” – Bob Marley
Physical and mental health challenges
My personal story began with the trials of hyperemesis gravidarum (excessive nausea and vomiting) during both pregnancies, compounded by a fractured foot and a pulmonary embolism (blood clots) shortly after the birth of my second child, a lower back injury that led to diagnoses of Functional Neurological Disorder, hearing loss, Tinnitus, Meniere’s disease and Fibromyalgia. These conditions took a toll on my physical health and mental well-being, pushing me into a dark space of low mood and depression.
“Your health challenges may shape your story, but they don’t define your potential. Every step forward is proof of your resilience.” – Eileen C (myself)
Surviving
However, my journey didn’t end there. Through following my simple rules (Thrive Fives), other personal mindset affirmations and techniques, alongside therapy, physical rehabilitation, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), just to name a few, I found a path back to myself.
And despite losing my job and feeling lost at most times, I reinvented my career and returned to practising radiography in the private sector—proving that there is life after loss and healing after hardship.
“Thriving is not about winning every battle the first time—it’s about the courage to rise and fight again until you overcome.”– Inspired by Margaret Thatcher
Thriving
Now, I have also regained my life, with my focus is on lifting and empowering women facing mental and physical health challenges to overcome those self-limiting beliefs. I dedicate my time to sharing my story through webinars, writing blogs, supporting and creating a platform where women can feel seen, heard, and empowered to take back control of their own journeys. My mission is to show that no matter what health obstacles life throws at us, we can rise, heal, and thrive.
Thriving isn’t about perfection; it’s about finding strength in your struggles and transforming pain into purpose.” – Eileen C (myself)

Why Everyone Needs a Support Warrior
Navigating life with health challenges can feel isolating but having a support person who truly understands can make all the difference. Here’s why you need someone like me, a Support Warrior who has faced the battles, endured the struggles, and emerged stronger:
1. I’ve Walked the Path
As someone who has survived severe health challenges like hyperemesis gravidarum, fibromyalgia, and functional neurological disorder, I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed by pain, fatigue, and isolation. My journey equips me with empathy and practical strategies to guide you through your challenges
2. I’m Proof That Thriving Is Possible
My story isn’t just about surviving—it’s about thriving. I’ve turned struggles into strength and learned to live a fulfilling life despite ongoing health conditions. If I can do it, so can you—with the right guidance.
3. The Power of Lived Experience
Research shows that peer support improves mental well-being, enhances recovery outcomes, and reduces feelings of isolation. According to a study published in BMC Health Services Research, individuals who received peer support reported a 50% higher satisfaction rate in achieving personal health goals.
4. Tailored Support for Your Journey
Everyone’s path is unique, and a support person can provide personalized encouragement, strategies, and accountability to help you thrive. Studies have shown that having a mentor or coach increases the likelihood of reaching your goals by 65%—and having regular check-ins boosts that number to 95%.
5. You Don’t Have to Go It Alone
It’s easy to feel like your struggles are yours alone, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. A support warrior not only helps you with practical advice but also reassures you that you’re not alone in this fight.
